Dr. Hannah Carey is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), and Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT), with additional advanced training in pelvic floor rehabilitation. She is the founder of Catalyst Physical Therapy, a practice based in San Rafael that serves active adults, athletes, and anyone navigating persistent pain or pelvic health concerns throughout Marin County. Hannah’s approach is grounded in both rigorous clinical training and a genuine love of learning. Her continuing education spans functional manual therapy through the Institute of Physical Art, pelvic health training through Herman and Wallace, and coursework in pain science and hypermobility disorders. This range of study reflects a real commitment to serving her patients well, not simply building credentials. As a trail runner, rock climber, mountain biker, yogi, and skier, Hannah understands firsthand what it feels like when the body cannot keep up with the life you want to live. That personal connection to movement shapes how she practices: she sees recovery as a collaborative process, and her role as a catalyst for meaningful change.
