About MOVMNT Physical Therapy & Performance
Dr. Monica is the founder and owner of MOVMNT Physical Therapy. She is of Armenian descent and a native Angelino. Growing up as a competitive rhythmic gymnast and navigating her own injuries, she developed a deep passion for the sciences and ultimately found her path in physical therapy. During her time at Duke, she expanded her interests through dual enrollment in an MPH program at UNC, strengthening her understanding of public health and systems-level care. Today, Dr. Monica integrates this lens of sustainable public health into her work as a provider. In her free time, she loves attending gymnastics meets, going to the beach, reading, and staying active with weightlifting, ballet, and tennis.

From Monica:
Dr. Monica treats patients of all ages and orthopedic conditions. She has a special interest in performing arts, ACL rehab, and foot + ankle conditions. Dr. Monica's approach to physical therapy is movement oriented, with the goal of the initial evaluation and initial follow up visits being understand what the patient's entry point is to movement depending on their goals. The active approach is sustainable and helps patients feel empowered. Dr. Monica also uses health technology (dynamometer, force plates) to supplement her evaluations/treatments and provide targeted interventions.
